Information about choices people have on how to get their Medicare health coverage - including the Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage Plans, Medicare prescription drug coverage and extra help available to pay for their prescription drug cost and Medicare premiums and deductibles.
Information about a new initiative called Money Follows the Person (MFP) to help states reduce their reliance on institutional care while developing community-based long-term care opportunities, enabling the elderly and people with disabilities to fully participate in their communities.
We’ll educate participants about an online tool available to help compare plans, called Medicare Options Compare, and provide resources on where to get more information.

One of the primary functions of the Office of the Medicare Ombudsman (OMO) is to provide assistance to people with Medicare with their complaints, grievances and requests for information regarding any aspect of the Medicare program. The OMO also serves to identify systemic issues within the Medicare program that impact people with Medicare, and works with other components within the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to facilitate resolutions to these issues. This session will provide an opportunity for persons with Medicare and those who work closely with them to discuss the prevalent Medicare related issues that are affecting them. (This session is targeted to professionals who work with and for the beneficiary community, although individual caregivers are welcome.)

This session will work on social skills appears to be very important for individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) beginning in childhood and continuing through adulthood. This session will present information on how students with ASD can develop their social skills while participating in sports activities. Strategies for assessing and maximizing social contact and relationships with same-age peers without disabilities in physical activity settings will be discussed.

Briefly describe characteristics of social behavior of children with ASD in physical activity settings
Examine key factors affecting social behavior of children with ASD in physical activity settings
